Mercato Trattoria Pop

One of the best trattoria I've tried by far. The team is young and passionate, and they aim to use very fresh and regional products. The atmosphere is simple and fun.

We should have done this much earlier! A friend of ours had invited us to this beautiful restaurant last night. Since you can't get fish at Mercato Trattoria Pop and since, when we eat out in Senigallia, we actually always eat fish, we regularly looked at this restaurant from the outside, saw that it was always full, but we had never been there. We regret that now! It is quite a large restaurant, but because it is made up of several smaller rooms you don't notice it at all. It is modern and brightly decorated and partly because of the modern art on the wall and the colors chosen, there is a warm atmosphere. In summer, by the way, you can eat outside on the corner of the beautifully restored Piazza Garibaldi Caterina is the hostess and radiates hospitality and obvious pleasure in her work. Her husband runs the kitchen, and how! It is an open kitchen and that is always an extra challenge We sampled several entrees, vitello tonnato, melanzane alla parmiggiana, grilled peppers and a very special combo of elderberry blossoms fried in tempura batter, zucchini flowers and green asparagus. All equally delectable. Beautiful homemade bread to go with it. It was savoring! Then ravioli with a delicious filling and cannelloni. Also delicious. For main course there were spare ribs that were so tender you didn't need a knife, meatballs after Caterina's grandmother's recipe and, very special and delectable, lamb sweetbreads! Because everything was so delicious, we became curious about the desserts, and they turned out to be of the same high standard. We drank with the meal a delicious white house wine, which they have in half bottles (A Pecorino from Le Marche) Here we will come back very soon! Highly recommended!

Incredible food even though portions are what it looks like from this specific type of restaurant, vast selection of delicious and meticulously prepared and searched cheeses from loads of places. Great experience indeed. Will be back soon

Ci sono stata diverse volte e ogni volta è meraviglioso. Il piatto è splendido e delizioso e ogni volta si fanno nuove scoperte. Il servizio è cordiale e tutti sorridono. La carta dei vini è la ricchezza e i consigli sui vini sono sempre perfetti . Continuerò a tornare!

Very fine actually fine dining without the fuss.....

They enlarged the restaurant but kept the good feeling and the beautiful food. The menu has always nice surprises and the staff is also very accommodating. In summer you eat out on one of the most beautiful piazza's in Italy.
